I think I would go with Mint Condition. Just a great classic SPN type ep and not too dated.

Hmm, that's a good question. I suppose it would depend on who the friend is. Someone needs funny to get in, so for them, I'd go with episodes like Yellow Fever or Tall Tales or perhaps even the Scoobynatural one. But then others need more, and for them maybe I'd go with Home or Heart, episodes with great writing and acting but not any serious spoilers.
