Dean and friendships

I'm already eager to get ahead in my rewatch as I love the friendship between Dean and Benny, and think it's one of the most genuine friendships on the show. However I do think that Dean has some great friendships, throughout the show, which do you enjoy

Oh, pretty much all of them - even before Castiel came along, Dean got all the best connections, even with one-off characters, like Ronald in S2's Nightshifter or Victor Henriksen from S3. But after Castiel, it was like the writers tried to constantly recreate that connection with Dean and someone else; Garth, Charlie, Benny, Crowley, Claire, and those are just the more memorable ones. Poor Sam barely got a few, hell he and Cass didn't even get a hug until S9 and it was awkward AF

My personal favorite will always be Dean and Charlie, though, they are so adorable together.

Dean does seem to be just the easier going friend, at ease with everyone. But I agree with Benny being the best example. With Benny it felt like a genuine friendship, rather than a 'family don't end in blood' obligation. Garth felt more like an obligation, as did Charlie - I felt that she got along better with Sam. Crowly was waaaay more of a bromance than Cas ever was
