Why does everybody like Dean better?

Cas was more fun, back in the earlier seasons, but now, he doesn't really have that much of a role this season, apart from his current one of course. Sam has always had a huge role in a the seasons, he's ever evolving, and just because he's introverted doesn't mean he can't be fun.

Now if they wanted to get rid of Crowley, I would have no issues!

No! Granted I think they need to do something with the character but I like him too much to have him gone. Plus I think everyone else likes him too. On the set I mean.

Yeah and I think that's the trouble, he's there because people like him, but he has no purpose on the show anymore, to me he's overstayed his welcome.

That's why I say they need to do something different with the character. Which they can. There are just some people that always make me laugh whenever I see them... even in BSG he made me laugh.

I feel like a Dean & Cas show would be SO boring. Cas (and hey, I love Cas) works because he's the side character. He just would not work as one of the main two.

I guess I'm in the minority (maybe not on here, but in the overall fandom) w hen I say that I'm just not that crazy about Cas? I enjoyed him for the first couple seasons, but after that he just got on my nerves. Dean and Cas's relationahip is interesting, but not as interesting as him and Sam's. I'm so much more interested in Sam and Dean's relationship. Every single scene with just the two of them is pure gold. There is no such going on there...so much history and baggage and love...etc. Cas just takes screentime away from Sam and Dean, IMO. And I am definitely NOT into Destial.

I'm liking Cas more this season, but there's a reason for that - it's not Cas. It's Lucifer and I'm LOVING watching Misha play Lucifer, I love that he and Mark worked together to make sure that he had Mark's mannerisms down, the same thing that Jared and Mark did. But that doesn't mean I'm not hoping that the only way they can get rid of Lucifer at the end of this season is to get rid of Cas, too.

Other than that, I think Cas ran out of time somewhere around S6, maybe S7, if I push it.

Agreed. Casifer is great.

While I like Dean more, I could not imagine the show without Sam. I could still enjoy it without Crowly and Cas.

For me personally, its exactly that, I relate to Sam, he's more realistic and introverted. Dean is simpler in a sense, and defintely more fun. I see Dean as loyal to a fault. Its admirable.
